Step by step
- 01
Turn it inside out
Protects the print from friction.
- 02
Wash cold and gentle
Hand wash or use a delicate cycle with mild detergent. Skip bleach and fabric softener.
- 03
Air dry flat
Dryer heat shrinks cotton and cracks prints. Dry flat away from direct sun.
- 04
Store dark and dry
Fold loosely or roll in a breathable bin away from heat, damp and light.
Display pieces
For framed grails, use UV-filtering glass and keep them off sunny walls.
Washing vintage tees
Turn shirts inside out, wash cold on a gentle cycle or by hand with mild detergent, and skip the dryer. Heat cracks prints and shrinks cotton.
Stains without losing fade
Spot treat gently and test on an inside seam first. Harsh bleach can strip both stains and the faded color collectors want.
Long-term storage
Fold loosely or store flat in breathable bins away from heat, light and humidity. Refold occasionally so creases don't weaken.
